            Experience Sharing Among Teachers of Various Countries to Prepare Young Generations to Become Actors of Change Towards More Sustainable Consumption Behaviors

            Environmental Teacher's International Covention (ETIC 2012) is an international conference for  school teachers and educators active in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and or Environmental Education (EE) program. Builds on a strong tradition of sharing the latest in EE/ESD theory, policy and practice with the principle of togetherness,  tolerance and participation.

            Throughout the conference participants will discuss the implications for Education for Sustainable Consumption (ESC) and ESD of issues such as sustainable consumption, green economy, climate change and indigenous knowledge, as well as the latest strategies to enable young generation to see the planet as one interdependent environment. The program, which includes  exhibitions, inquiry based field trip, group discussion and social activities such as cultural night and conference dinner, will provide an ideal opportunity to network with colleagues and strengthen school partnership.

            ETIC 2012 organized by Pandu Pertiwi, Brawijaya University-Indonesia and other partners.  Pandu Pertiwi is a network of  teachers, educators and high school students active in EE/ESD.  The network is an Indonesian chapter of Caretakers of the Environment International.

            We invite you to join us on this journey of learning, sharing, networking and showcasing the best practices that the education has to offer.

            In ETIC 2012, through the theme, global partnership among the participants will be one of the main focus, how to sustain the network, and how to maintain the collaborative approach.
